Fircroft is a residential college occupying a former Cadbury family home, set in six acres of beautiful grounds in Selly Oak, Birmingham. We were originally founded to provide educational opportunities for some of the most disadvantaged and excluded members of society. One hundred years on from the birth of Fircroft College, its mission of 'social justice' is more relevant than ever. Fircroft is a thriving and ambitious College with a vast and diverse community of learners and a strong ethos.

Fircroft has recently undergone an exciting period of improvement and development. We are now in a position to appoint an interim MIS Co-ordinator on a 12 month fixed term contract to assist with the co-ordination of the continuing implementation and maintenance of our management information systems (MIS). The main duties of this role include the coding of correct funding streams to relevant courses in the MIS system, providing high quality training and support to enable all relevant staff to use the MIS system and collating and analysing data to transform into meaningful and useful business intelligence for reporting purposes.

To be considered for this role you must have a level 3 qualification in Mathematics; a high level of attention to detail and accuracy; demonstrable experience of manipulating data using a variety of software and high level IT skills including databases, Word and Excel.

Experience of working in an educational setting with accreditation would be an advantage, as would a qualification in IT.

The right person will be someone who enjoys working at a fast pace with a variety of different tasks, who is self-managed with a strong work ethic, who has a positive outlook and a 'can do' attitude and is a completer / finisher.

Benefits at Fircroft include free parking, free cooked lunch, free hot drinks, 32 days annual leave plus 2 college closure days, flexible working, a relaxed, friendly and unique working environment, 6 acres of beautiful grounds, childcare voucher scheme, pension scheme and a passion for education, social justice and community improvement.

Closing date for this post is: 17 July 2017

Interviews to take place: Week commencing 24 July 2017

This College is committed to equality of opportunity, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable adults, and expects all staff to share this commitment.
