IT/Technical Support Coordinator, Congleton, £22k + bonus

To plan, coordinate and deliver within budget an effective timing solution/service to the clients in the sports industry. To manage business projects for new business solutions.

Organising Planning and Scheduling

·Create Event Project Documentation, including Event Information, Equipment Lists & Timing Schedules.

·Liaise with client about arrangements/timescales/equipment/timing/locations

·Assist with hotel and transport planning & booking by liaising with Internal Event Co-ordinator

·Ensure required Health and Safety documentation is provided (including Risk Assessments)

·Liaise with Workshop Manager to ensure availability of materials and equipment

·Set-up & test event equipment to ensure any faults are resolved for event

·Plan and schedule the printing, packaging and delivery of Timing Chips/Equipment

·Obtain entrant and event information and build race databases pre-event for use on the day.

·Ensure full compliance with all Health, Safety and Welfare requirements at all times

Technical Site Visits

·Assist with technical site visits to gain and understanding of requirements.

·Visit existing locations to carry out repairs/servicing on technical equipment

Event

·Manage staff on event day including compliance with Health and Safety requirements.

·Liaise with customer as required determining working arrangements, and location etc.

·Set up and test equipment necessary to support the event and activities

·Liaise with officials/organisers to ensure complete customer satisfaction of service.

·Ensure site is cleared and equipment is securely packed and returned to base.

·Ensure the event results are uploaded on to the company web site post-event.

Post Event

·Prepare post-event report, detailing any issues arising from the event including damaged / faulty equipment, software issues or general information for next year

·Liaise and follow up with the Workshop Manager to ensure defects are corrected when returned to the Warehouse

Development and Support

·Test new hardware and software to ensure effective operation.

·Provide technical support as required both in-house and at customer sites.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

·IT Support/Technical or IT Engineer background (TCP/IP, SQL, Databases)

·Experience in a Customer Facing Role

·Any project management experience

·Comfortable working 2-3 weekends from 5 during busy periods

·Prepared to travel to events across the UK and sometimes internationally.
