An incredible opportunity has arisen for a Compliance Officer to join a Global company that provides IT software solutions to financial institutions.

Duties will include -

* Ensure employer's compliance with Data Protection Act, PCI, AML, ATF, KYC, FCA, international and other payment network regulations and standards at all times

* Support and advise the employer and its partners on all compliance issues, including customer and supplier contractual matters to primarily ensure regulatory compliance

* Propose and implement risk and compliance agenda, policies and framework

* Draft, periodically always review and otherwise maintain all the relevant internal policies ensuring regulatory compliance with all the relevant industry and governmental bodies

* Develop and deliver appropriate and regular training on regulatory policies and procedures to all relevant employees and partners (when applicable)

* Participate (as a member of a wider team) in the PCI and other applicable industry certifications

* Supervise international and other payment network operational reviews and onsite inspections, and correct any compliance errors in the agreed timeframe for successful certification

* Prepare reports to MD on compliance issues and violations

* Conduct periodic internal audit of processing centre team functions and practices

* Maintain compliance procedure and checklist for the prospective customers as part of the new customer boarding process

* Perform comprehensive compliance checks on all prospective customers as part of the new customer boarding process; perform periodical reviews of existing customers/partners as and when necessary;

* Advise and guide customers/prospects on all compliance requirements: evaluate customer KYC, AML, ATF and other regulatory requirements for the customer country/region, draw comparisons to UK regulatory standards to confirm customer compliance requirements are met; find gaps, if such exist, propose action plans to ensure compliance

Proven experience in:

* Data protection, KYC/AML/ATF/FCA/PSR/PCI compliancE

* Ensuring regulatory compliance in finance/banking/payments industry at a retail bank, payment processing company, data centre, data controller or equivalent payment service provider or a financial/payments regulatory body

* Risk management and ensuring employer's and employer's partners compliance with relevant regulatory processes

The ideal candidate -

* Bachelor's Degree in business, management, finance, law or related disciplines

* Related professional qualifications can be beneficial

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Ability to organise, prioritise and manage deadlines, in a high velocity, rapidly evolving and demanding work environment

* Creativity and the desire for self-development

* Willingness to learn new things

* High level of business acumen and a strong work ethic

* Ability to work with little or no supervision and be results-driven

* Experience in working at or with technology companies can be useful

* Some legal work experience especially in commercial law can be beneficial

A 'can do', positive attitude is necessary and competent IT skills are a must!
