We are currently working with a large corporate firm looking to recruit a Service Desk manager for their Ipswich office. The role is a full time, permanent position. The successful candidate will manage a high end, in house service desk with a focus on providing outstanding customer service in a fast paced and technical role.

The successful candidate will be customer focused with excellent communication skills, and will have had previous experience in managing a support team service desk. The successful candidate will use the ITIL framework to deliver consistency and efficiency of the team in meeting SLA's and customer expectations.

The successful candidate will have staffing duties and will need to manage the 1st and 2nd line support staff, to ensure that service levels remain uncompromised and that the service provided always meets expectations. The role will also include managing hardware deployment within the business whilst actively managing the inventory.

The role also requires the successful candidate to be responsible for the direct training requirements of the service desk team, to ensure that the team can meet and exceed expectations in relation to their roles within information security. The successful candidate will be comfortable in providing reports for the senior team and other stakeholders within the business.

The successful candidate will be determined and approachable, with the capability to manage the service desk without direct supervision. This role will suit current service desk managers looking for a change into a highly renowned and leading firm, or individuals with previous 2nd and 3rd line experience looking to further their careers.
