Main Purpose of the role:
  • To provide a quality, tailored and supportive service to a range of clients working alongside the Financial Advisors and Administrators in the team.
  • Assist clients with their specific needs in Financial Services.
  • This post is office based but will involve out of office activity and travel from time to time. Access to a vehicle may provide additional flexibility within the role. Flexibility of working hours will be required to meet client needs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Responsible for managing a mixed caseload of client matters subject to appropriate supervision.
  • Collect all detailed client information to compile a financial plan and confirm that the client risk profile is determined and the fact find is completed
  • Discuss client objectives and any specific requests or requirements with the Financial Advisor
  • Identify and collect the necessary information to compile a financial cash flow forecast.
  • Compile draft net worth, income and expenditure statements, and financial cash flow forecast, maintaining discussions with the relevant Financial Advisor.
  • Enabling and supporting the Financial Advisors in achieving the Firm's fee targets.
  • Undertake research both independently and with the Financial Advisors to identify suitable solutions to meet the client's needs.
  • Prepare information and comparisons for analysis by the Advisors.
  • Where necessary, liaise with clients' legal and tax advisers.
  • Consider current and future allocation of assets for investment strategy with regard to client risk profile.
  • Prepare draft recommendation reports to be discussed and agreed by the Financial Advisors.
  • Fact finds and prepare suitability letters in accordance with the agreed recommendations.
  • Ensure that all compliance paperwork is in order and refer to the Compliance Manager and Compliance Officer for advice where necessary.
  • Make changes to clients' investments as instructed.
  • Implement the chosen and agreed on investment strategies.
  • Act as the main point of contact and deal effectively with queries from clients and other parties using effective communication.
  • Establish and build strong client relationships and attend client meetings with Financial Advisor's if required.
  • Review investment portfolios, asset allocation and risk profile, etc.
  • Initiate review meetings with clients and send planning figures to clients for update and revision in preparation for their next meeting with the Financial Advisor.
  • To perform any other duties as required by the Executive Director

  • Is passionate and enthusiastic about their area of specialism.
  • Is in a similar role providing high-quality financial services as a Paraplanner.
  • Holds a minimum Level 4 qualification from either the CII, LIBF, CIBS or CISA
  • Understanding of the Financial Planning process.
  • Able to work within defined business processes

  • Experience with trusts (J02), investments and other technical areas such as, but not limited to, pensions and long term care.
  • Is able to undertake marketing opportunities including networking and giving presentations.
