We are currently recruiting for an interim Purchasing & Commercial Process Manager for a business based in Warwickshire.
Responsibilities:
The Purchasing & Commercial Process Manager is responsible for the delivery of Transnational Procurement services within Purchase to Pay end to end business process to internal customers and external suppliers. Working with key stakeholders, the Transnational Procurement Manager will establish effective policies, develop and continuously improve processes to provide customers with an effective and efficient high quality purchasing service.
Duties:
Sourcing products and services below £100,000 in value where contracts do not already exist, supporting business areas in obtaining quotations, running tactical sourcing solutions. Mini-tenders against framework suppliers and executing tenders for new products and services.
Providing the business with a variety of channels through which they can place orders with suppliers, including mobile applications and a Shop on Behalf of contact centre service (delivered by the Customer Support Team)
Review and approval of low value shopping carts, ensuring compliance to negotiated contracts and leveraging catalogues where they exist to enable purchase orders to be issued to suppliers in a timely manner
Ensuring that goods and services are receipted in an accurate and timely manner to ensure that costs can be accounted for appropriately and to enable supplier's invoices to be paid on time.
The role holder will ensure that teams are led effectively with service levels achieved and where possible exceeded and that the commercial contracts in place with service providers are understood and managed effectively.

The role holder will be responsible for working with key stakeholders to develop and refine P2P policies and processes to ensure that purchases are effectively designed, providing an excellent user experience whilst ensuring that any operational or financial risks are effectively mitigated. They will be responsible for continuously improving processes and systems to maximise their efficiency and effectiveness, leveraging Performance Excellence framework and other tools.
The role holder will be responsible for developing a robust and enduring training and development framework is in place, ensuring that a learning culture exists with team members skills continuously developed and that requisitioners, approvers and suppliers have the appropriate skills and knowledge to undertake their roles effectively.
The role holder will be responsible for managing the relationships with a number of major stakeholders, developing positive relationships, ensuring that service and process objectives are agreed and that performance managed effectively to a standard at which stakeholders are willing to promote the Purchase to Pay function and UK Shared Services.
They will also be responsible for ensuring developing excellent customer engagement processes, enabling the effective flow of information and feedback regarding processes and opportunities for improvement at the same time as ensuring that any customer complaints received are resolved in a timely manner and root causes identified to prevent recurrence.
Must haves:
Must understand Sox Controls, and who can take ownership in SOX controls.
Managing an offshore team, onshore team x 4 people in the team
FTSE 100 contractor
Understand Business change
Must have a procurement background or knowledge
Will need to challenge status Quo
When someone in the business wants to buy something bridging the gaps between finance, procurement and Business services
