SCHOOL OPERATION MANAGER

Responsible for: A range of nonteaching staff

Salary: Grade L pro rata of £33,136 (pay award pending for September 2019)

Contract type: Permanent

Hours: 37 hours per week, Term time + 2 weeks

Location: Wyvern St Edmund's Learning Campus

Job purposeTo lead and co-ordinate HR functions in order to assist in the smooth running of the school.To manage the administrative function and, in conjunction with the trust's Head of Estates, to manage school site staff, working with the Headteacher and all other staff.To support the Trust's central teams including Finance, HR and Estates as required.To lead and co-ordinate advertising, marketing and the schools' social media presence.To lead on staff recruitment, DBS clearance, new staff induction and general HR issues, including staff absence.To be an adviser to the school leadership team, attending relevant meetings when required.

Key responsibilities and accountabilitiesAdministrationOversee and manage the Office Manager.Act as SIMS manager for staffing, operating SIMs effectively to record data, produce reports, and ensure that statutory returns and censuses are completed and submitted accurately and on time. Provide reports and updates for connecting software as appropriate.Lead on the marketing and promotion of the school.Assist as required to maintain the school website.Oversee the site team day to day, in conjunction with the trust's Head of Estates.Act as school Data Protection Lead, to ensure compliance with data protection legislation, and be the main point of contact on data protection for staff and managers within the school and the Trust's Director of Finance and Business and Data Protection Officer (DPO).Ensure that the school meets all of its statutory compliance responsibilities and, working with the Trust and site team, ensure we provide the safest possible environment. Work with Head of Estates and other staff to plan and oversee maintenance and capital works programmes.Ensure website content compliance: policies, information and communication with parents e.g. calendar, key dates etc.
