Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 /year

Are you passionate about marketing and interested in the wonderful world of travel? We are looking to appoint a Senior Marketing Manager to lead an established marketing team, in a high paced and fast growth travel business.

Brightsun Travel are bespoke travel specialists offering a wide range of travel services including flights, holidays, luxury and business travel. Established in 1986, they employ around 200 staff globally, with a network of 3 offices spanning the UK and India.

The Role of a Marketing Manager

The purpose of this hands-on role is to strategize and execute the company's marketing plan for 3 of its travel brands, as well as managing approximately 30 partner relationships and marketing plans with airlines, hotels and tourist boards. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining positive relationships with industry partners and our B2B and B2C audiences.

You are experienced in brand building and have an ambitious drive and an entrepreneurial spirit. You have a strong vision, a brilliant creative eye, and would love the opportunity to completely own the brand strategy for an exciting travel SME.

Managing an overall team of 12 in the UK and India, reporting into the MD, you will have responsibility for the creation and implementation of all brand and partner marketing plans and budgets. You will be expected to develop, implement and execute marketing plans with campaigns covering TV, Radio, Print, SMS, Direct, Digital, Outdoor, SEO, PR, Events, Sponsorship, Staff Engagement, Digital Marketing, and Special Projects.

You will oversee the brand websites regarding content, imagery, overall design and SEO targets, driving traffic and monitoring analytics. Additionally you will approve and proofread all marketing campaigns, materials and merchandise.

You'll work closely with commercial, product, sales, IT and finance teams to ensure cohesive strategy, planning and execution of campaigns. Additionally you will be responsible for budgets, forecasts and invoicing.

We require someone with a passion for people as you'll also have a focus on staff engagement with responsibility for the product training calendar, team building events, staff incentives and rewards, internal communications and implementing and updating the staff intranet.

Skills & Experience Required:
  • A minimum of 8 years of multidisciplinary marketing experience, some within the travel industry
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Demonstrable experience of planning and executing TTL campaigns including TV, managing budgets, working with commercial teams and measuring ROI reporting using tracking, analytics
  • Experience in setting multi-channel targets and presenting results
  • Able to distil information and recommend and apply insights to increase success of future marketing programs
  • Excellent stakeholder relationship management and communication skills
  • Digital marketing expertise
  • Understanding of analytics, SEO, PPC, and best practice
  • Able to lead, prioritize and multi-task while handling multiple deadlines with a real passion for excellent execution
  • Constant creativity - an ability to generate ideas and inspire others to do so too
  • Experience in briefing and agency management and contract negotiation
  • TV advert production experience desirable
  • Commercial acumen
  • Conceptual thinker and problem solver
  • Obsessive attention to detail, fantastic eye for design and big picture thinking
  • Outstanding written and spoken English
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Excellent team player and invested in team management and development
  • Calm under pressure and positive attitude
  • Passion and knowledge for travel
  • Preferable to have experience organising and planning travel itineraries
  • Desire to work in a dynamic SME and able to adapt quickly to evolving environment
