Adecco are currently recruiting for an experienced Accounts Assistant for our family run client in North Norfolk. This opportunity offers a second to none working environment, with a true family feel to it. You will be working alongside the company directors, assisting with accounts preparation, VAT, payroll and general tasks as required. Job Role:
  • Undertaking various tasks as requested from the directors for client accounts
  • Preparing company accounts & investigating discrepancies
  • Processing payroll for various clients
  • VAT returns
  • General book keeping
  • General admin tasks as required
  • Dealing with clients face to face & over the phone

Skills required:
  • AAT qualified is highly desirable
  • Experience working within practice is preferable but not essential
  • Accustomed to using accountancy packages, ideally SAGE & Quickbooks
  • Strong administrative skills with a head for numbers
  • Proficient with Microsoft packages; mainly Excel, Outlook & Word
  • Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal
  • Strong understanding of the importance of confidentiality and regulations surrounding it - GDPR

Person Specification:
  • Flexible approach to work
  • Can do attitude and willing to muck in to get the job done
  • Strong team player with a friendly and positive demeanor
  • Self motivated and able to work alone with limited supervision

The package:
  • Basic salary of £18,000 - £22,000 DOE
  • 20 days holiday + bank holidays
  • Closed for Christmas
  • Social events; team meals, Christmas party etc
  • 09:00-17:00 Monday to Friday - potential for some flexibility for the right candidate
  • Study support for the right candidate
