Due to expansion, we are looking for a Management Accountant to join our team at our Head Office in Andover. The Accountant will prepare monthly accounts for two Stannah divisions as well as preparing and consolidating year-end submissions for audit and compliance being responsible for the annual budgeting process. Experience is desirable in management accounts, managing balance sheet controls, budget preparation, and margin & variance analysis.

Ideal candidates will be excellent communicators with strong interpersonal skills, having the ability to engage and relay information to internal customers in an understandable manner. The role requires you to be able to effectively manage, plan and prioritise your own workload whilst meeting conflicting deadlines, investigating and overcoming problems as they arise.

We are looking for individuals who have a keen eye for detail and are methodical and diligent in their process. Ideal candidates will have recently graduated or be AAT qualified, having previous experience working within a finance or in an accountancy or analyst based role, with a desire to commence study with a chartered body.

Responsibilities:

* Preparation of monthly & year end accounts

* Ensuring timely management accounts are submitted with supporting commentary and analysis

* Conducting monthly reviews with senior managers

* Taking control of the annual budgeting process

* Reconcile monthly sales registers

* Undertake margin and variance analysis, providing commentary on variances and trends

* Assisting in preparing the monthly sales and KPI reports

* Carry out process reviews when perceived problems are identified and make recommendations

* Prepare balance sheet reconciliation.

* Provide support at year end to the wider finance team

Qualifications:

* Graduate or AAT Qualified with a desire to commence study with a chartered body.

* Previous experience working within a finance office in an accountancy or analyst based role.
