My Client are an award-winning electronic innovation, design, development and manufacturing company offering hardware design, software and firmware design, product prototyping and manufacture. Growing steadily YoY, looking for a new Purchasing manager to come on board and lead a small team of 3 Buyers to success.

The Role

My client is looking for an experienced and ambitious Purchasing Manager to come on board to develop and implement their Purchasing and Procurement strategy. As the Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for the Supply Chain strategy for each project, estimating and allowing for differing time scales and costs. Every project will be different and bespoke for a diverse portfolio of customers, ranging from large blue-chip organisations to niche' SMEs.

As the company is consistently growing, the company is always changing so the client is looking for someone who can respond quickly and effectively to that. This is an excellent opportunity that will allow the right individual to make a strong and influential impact which will drive the business forwards.

The Skills & Experience

My client is looking for a pragmatic, practical and resilient individual for this position with excellent communication skills and the ability to lead teams as well as develop a solid procurement/production strategy.

The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge/experience in the following areas:

Solid understanding and application of Supply Chain processes
Proven exprience in reducing Lead times
Previous evidence of Reduced, tangible Direct spend costs
Experience managing purchasing teams
Experience developing and implementing procurement strategies
Ideally CIPS certified
Experienced sourcing electronic components essential **
Background in engineering/manufacturing
Ability to understand and read technical drawings

The Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 + benefits
