Currie & Brown is currently looking for a payroll and benefits manager to be based in our London office. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering start-to-finish in-house payroll for circa 600 employees spread across the UK, Ireland and Jersey, and will be the first point of contact for all employees' benefits queries. The payroll system used is Cintra iQ, Sage Micropay and Swansoft, and the HR system in usage is Agresso.

Responsibilities for the successful candidates will include:

Payroll

* Undertaking sole responsibility for start-to-finish in-house payroll

* FPS, EPS, P60, P32, SMP, SSP and all electronic statuary reporting to HMRC on monthly and annual basis

* Delivering Irish payroll using Irish Revenue Online (ROS) system - start-to-finish process, PAYE, PRSI and USC deductions

* Processing cash benefits such as childcare, cycle-to-work, gym membership, bring-your-own device, season ticket loan and buy more leave (payments and deductions)

* Handling reconciliations with Cintra payroll system and Agresso HR system - review of part-time adjustments, leavers, salary increases, etc

* Assuming responsibility for administering legislative changes (eg national minimum wage)

* Organising annual pay review process and bonus awards

* Managing various payroll reporting, working closely with the Finance Department

* Ensuring accuracy with all European payrolls, including France and Spain

Benefits

* Undertaking an annual renewal of all relevant benefits - life insurance, PHI, directors' medicals, medical insurance and employee support programme, and associated administration of these schemes, including liaising with the relevant brokerage firms

* Researching peer group and 'best-in-class' benefits and salary offerings, proposing commercially viable alterations to our current offering

* Promoting benefits offering to staff

* Review of all expenditure on benefits, and input into annual budgeting and monitoring processes

* Assisting in the preparation of P11Ds for annual submission to HMRC

Pension

* Undertaking sole responsibility of month-end pension reporting

* Ensuring the correct pension calculations are used and processed for our Jersey and Irish staff pensions

* Ensuring all staff contributory rates are in line with our pension policy and correct NI saving is applied

Requirements:

* Extensive experience in delivering start-to-finish in-house payroll

* Conversant with multiple payroll and HR systems

* Familiar with reward models and methodologies

* Familiar with re-enrolment and up to date on legislative changes surrounding the workplace pension scheme
