A great opportunity has arisen for a Finance Development Manager to join a leading company based in Reading. The focus of the role is to drive process improvement, automation and improved controls of the financial processes.


* Oversee and assist in integrating newly acquired companies onto the financial systems.

* Identify and implement automation into finance processes where appropriate

* Work with the Finance Controls team to review, identify and resolve areas of financial control weakness.

* Process implementation for new challenges / initiatives with appropriate accounting and controls.

* Range of ad-hoc finance related projects

* Reconciliation and Review of key accounts

* Act as 'Finance Project Representative' as and when required

* Financial support to smaller businesses

* Commercial & accountancy support for support centre

* Support Financial Reporting team with annual audit

Experience/Skills Required:

* Qualified Accountant with more than 3 years PQE.

* Experience with mergers and acquisitions and integrating businesses.

* Appreciation of key aspects of internal controls with a proven ability to drive and influence change and improve processes and controls.

* Strong commercial focus to allow for a wider view and understanding of the implications of risk management to our businesses.

* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, modelling and similar)

* Strong analytical mind and problem-solving skills

* Attention to detail and creative thinking

* Knowledge of system design, development and implementation.

* Ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.

* Strong leadership and influencing skills.
