ST4-6 Specialty Training post, Locum Appointment for Service (LAS), general psychiatry, 6 months fixed term from 7th August 2019

Waltham Forest Access, Assessment & Brief Intervention Team (WFAABIT)

This is a great opportunity to obtain experience in a multidisciplinary team providing a community general psychiatry service to working age adults.

You will be involved in the assessment and treatment of patients presenting to our Waltham Forest Access, Assessment & Brief Intervention Team.

You will receive supervision from 3 consultant psychiatrists and your main consultant supervisor will be Dr Teresa Borrell. There are two Specialty Doctors and 3 core psychiatry / GP trainees plus a large multi-professional team.

The team is starting to work with the newly evolving Open Dialogue approach to the provision of care.

Opportunities for training, professional development and CPD can be discussed at the start of the post. The post carries an on call component and is part of the ST4-6 psychiatry on-call rota for the Trust.
