An opportunity has arisen in the Wheelchair Service for a Band 7 Clinical Team Manager

This community based service supports patients to live as independent a life as possible with the support of wheelchairs and specialist seating. The service is commissioned for the Knowsley borough.

The post holder will be responsible for providing high level clinical leadership across the Wheelchair service Team, including assessment, recommendations and evaluation of the most complex patients within the service. The Post holder will lead and manage the service and be responsible for overall standards, both clinical and performance. The post holder will promote sharing of best practice and consistency across the whole of the service.

The ideal candidate must have demonstrable experience of supervising staff, effective communication skills and interpersonal skills are essential.

The post is supported and supervised by the Operational Manager and peers in Senior Therapy posts.

The service is based in the Centre for Independent Living, Unit 11, Brickfields, Huyton Business Park, Merseyside. L36 6HY.

IMPORTANT The ability, means and willingness to travel between multiple sites in the course of performing duties is essential in this post. The role will involve regular travel across multiple sites in the North West Boroughs Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust catchment area. Therefore, the post holder must be able to meet the travel requirements of this post. Please indicate on your application how you meet this requirement.

This post is subject to an enhanced check with adults barred list Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). Successful candidates will either have a valid DBS check with the Trust or will be required to pay for the cost of the DBS Disclosure which is £47.50 for an enhanced disclosure, the cost of which will be deducted from first salary.
