We have opportunities for Trust Doctor posts at ST1+ level within Northumbria Healthcare in a number of medical specialities including acute medicine, respiratory and care of the elderly.

Our posts offer an exciting opportunity to further develop your skills and gain clinical experience together with protected study leave time of 10 days in 6 months which can be tailored to your specific needs and offer development in leadership, management, audits and teaching. There will be access to a study leave budget and the ability to attend additional training courses both internal and external.

It is envisaged you will gain a portfolio of competences and experiences that will enhance your future career and financial assistance will be given to allow you obtain an extension to your E-portfolio access.

You will have a designated Educational Supervisor during your appointment. Regular timetabled teaching sessions will take place.

We can offer 4 month, 6 month or 12 month placements and flexible start dates of December, February or April which may allow for applicants to arrange travelling plans.

Essential criteria:
  • MBBS or equivalent
  • Completion of two year Foundation Programme or equivalent
  • Full GMC registration
  • Applicants should display an enthusiasm for teaching and quality improvements and have good communication, presentation and clinical skills.
  • NHS experience

Desirable criteria:
  • ALS
  • MRCP part 1
