Band 5 Staff Nurse - Urology (Hopkins Ward)

Hopkins ward is a 23 bedded urology ward looking for highly motivated, innovative and enthusiastic band 5 staff nurses to join the team.

We care for both elective and emergency urology admissions, in a fast-paced environment and pride ourselves in striving for excellence in patient experience.

We care for a variety of patients undergoing major urological surgery and adopt a strong focus on patient safety.

We also regularly care for general surgical emergency admissions and have an excellent working relationship with the multi-professional teams with the collective aim of providing excellent patient care.

We have consultant-led ward rounds twice daily and a ward-based team of junior doctors ensuring plenty of learning opportunities for nursing staff.

All new starters are provided with a period of induction, theoretical and ward-based learning opportunities, and have the support from a designated preceptor in practice. We work closely with the practice education team who will also provide ward-based support to new staff members.

We are looking for dedicated and dynamic nurses, committed to delivering excellent patient care within a friendly and supportive team.
