Our Trust is a great place to work and we are keen to ensure that all our employees have the right values in order that we can provide the best service to our patients. These values are very important to us, and as a potential candidate you should be made aware that we test for these throughout the whole assessment/recruitment and selection process, and will only interview and recruit individuals who demonstrate these values through their application and behaviour.

Details of our Values can be found on our website link 'Working together for outstanding care - our vision'

Why not join a future focused, person centred organisation that is looking to invest in the local community and its workforce? Worcestershire's demographic varies from inner city population to small towns and rural communities.

Community Assessment and Recovery Service have received investment for expansion and we are looking to recruit enthusiastic and motivated qualified and experienced Nurses, Social Workers and Occupational Therapists to join the countywide Community Assessment Recovery Service (CARS).

We are a forward thinking service that welcomes innovative thinkers and which values its employees and people with lived experiences who are accessing our services. You will be a highly motivated suitably qualified individual with relevant experience of working in a community setting.

The CAR Service is a busy secondary mental health service which offers a variety of therapeutic interventions to the people of Worcestershire County. The team's ethos is recovery driven, and we strive to deliver excellent evidenced based care. We pride ourselves on delivering a quality based service to our local community.

The team works with partner agencies within an integrated health and social care environment to provide collaborative interventions and care packages which promote and enable recovery for people with severe and / or enduring mental health challenges. We are working towards accreditation from the Royal College of Psychiatry to standardise our care delivery across the county.

Responsibilities include; care coordination and management of a caseload requiring the successful applicants to work autonomously, undertaking mental health needs assessments, participating in the duty rotas, providing support to other professionals and to those in a caring role, supervision of junior staff including students, liaising with wards, other teams and external agencies.

The workload is fast paced and varied. Your ability to problem solve and to support those with lived experience of mental health during times of crisis is fundamental. The successful candidates need to have the ability to manage their own time effectively to meet the needs of caseload management and team duties successfully.

You will be working with experienced and supportive colleagues from professional disciplines including nursing, social work, occupational therapy, psychiatry, psychology, support workers, and reablement and employment services.

We value our workforce and are committed to ensuring your wellbeing is maintained. Our staff benefit from regular supervision and robust appraisals. Group supervision/ learning forums are available with Senior Clinicians and team psychologists, who encourage and support psychological formulations.

There is scope for professional development as the trust has a repertoire of training available to those wishing to extend their skill set. Developing our workforce is important to us, and we are pioneering champion roles across the organisation. There is an exciting training programme being developed specifically for CARS staff to ensure the model of care, mapped against national standards, is delivered effectively by a skilled workforce.

This post will offer the opportunity to develop your career in a challenging and demanding arena, whilst at the same time become part of a supportive and valued team of multi professionals.

The successful candidates will be based in either Bromsgrove or Worcester City, and preferences will be asked at interview. You will be expected to work flexibly to cover according to service delivery need across the North of the county for North based candidates and South of the county for South based candidates. The service operates from 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays).

This is a community based position and you will need to be able to meet the travel requirements of the post.

If you are looking for a new challenge then please apply, we look forward to hearing from you.
