The team is led by the Interim Ward Manager Becky Jeffries, supported by Band 6 Deputies.

Ward A3 is a 32-bed medical short stay ward. This is an exciting, fast-paced and challenging ward to work on, with a fantastic multi-disciplinary team. We receive our patients from MAU and the Emergency Department when they are in need of a short stay in the hospital.

A necessity for this role is to have a broad general medicine base. The ideal candidates for these positions would be highly motivated and have a genuine desire to help people in every way they can and also provide the best healthcare across the board.

Our service is continually expanding and developing, we will offer you training and education to enable you to gain the specialist skills to develop within your career, such as Senior Staff Nurses.

We offer a great Trust Induction including 4 specific days for Registered Practitioners in your first month of employment. We recognise that all qualifies nurses have different personal commitments so we value full and part-time staff equally. You will be fully supported by the ward to ensure the most positive experience.

Employees commencing employment who require a DBS Check, or existing staff transferring to roles which require a DBS or higher level DBS than currently held, will be charged for the cost of the check (currently £50 for an Enhanced Check and £31 for a Standard Check). This payment will be deducted from your first months' salary.
