As an Operational Trainer with Barchester, you'll make sure the people working within our care homes have the training they need to provide the highest quality in person-centred care for residents and patients for across our services.
This is a home-based role with frequent travel to various care homes across a specific region to ensure that we always meet our high training standards.

As an organisation, we put a huge emphasis on training and development, and you'll be pivotal in ensuring our provision always is second to none. Your specific responsibilities will span training delivery, staff inductions and development, which makes this a very varied role. You can expect to be involved with everything, from planning training calendars, championing e-learning and supporting employees through their induction, to attending conferences, and analysing our ongoing training needs.

This is a demanding but incredibly rewarding role that will see you delivering exceptional training and, in turn, having a lasting impact on the lives of our teams, residents and patients.


• Experience in training, coaching and mentoring others
• Excellent communication skills
• Confident in working independently but also work well as part of a team
• Flexible and adaptable approach
• Comfortable with frequent travel and overnight stays
• Good working knowledge of legislative requirements within the care sector
• Ideally hold C&G 7300 or equivalent, this is not essential but would be an advantage
• SVQ level 3 or hands on experience working within the care sector
