Multiple roles available

We're looking for a senior private client case manager to join our Sheffield or Bristol based teams. If you can bring us the expert legal experience and natural people skills we're after, we can offer you the chance to develop your profile with a business that puts people at the heart of its strategy.

At Co-op Legal Services, we do things differently from other legal firms and private practices. And we're passionate about our customers, members and colleagues and doing the right thing. As a senior private client case manager with us, we'll look to you to review client's needs recorded via the case management system; accurately drafting legal documentation that reflects and meets the needs and wishes of different clients. As well as managing your own cases, you'll also mentor and support trainee legal case handlers with theirs.

What you'll do:

* act on instructions recorded by estate planning consultants on the in-house case management system
* review and check that all information is accurate and relevant, chasing consultants for any further details
* draft accurate legal documentation relating to your own cases within set targets
* oversee and proofread trainee solicitors documents, offering support where needed
* actively keep up to date with Co-op legal products and services, spotting opportunities to upsell to customers based on their needs
* accurately maintain client records and correspondence on the system to make sure regulatory standards are met
* coach and mentor the team

This role will suit people who have:

* a law degree or legal qualification - this would be preferred
* a real passion for developing your own career and supporting others with theirs
* excellent attention to detail and ability to spot errors and opportunities
* experience of dealing with a large and direct case load
* a real customer focus
* expertise with wills, trusts and power of attorney
* the ability to meet targets and maintain quality and accuracy
* the ability to act as a point of escalation and support for colleagues in the team

Why Co-op?

Here you'll do work that matters. We're a commercial organisation with a purpose beyond profit, and in this role you'll have an opportunity to help us build a stronger Co-op and stronger communities. You'll also get a package that includes:

* competitive salary
* coaching, training and support to help you develop
* pension with up to 10% employer contributions
* annual incentive scheme
* 28 days holiday (rising to 32 in line with service)
* discounts on Co-op products and services

Building an inclusive work environment

We're actively building diverse teams and welcome applications from everyone. But simply having a diverse workforce is not enough. We aim to build an inclusive environment, where everyone can contribute their best work and develop to their full potential. We celebrate our differences, and recognise the importance of teams reflecting the communities they serve.

We can make adjustments to our interview process according to your needs. And we offer a flexible working environment so you can adjust your hours to suit your personal circumstances. You can find out more about Co-op people policies at coop.co.uk/peoplepolicies.

As part of your application you'll need to complete an online assessment. It will take you around 12 minutes to complete this test.
