An Insurance Claims Handler job in Reading for £26K

Your new company

This well respected charity with its head offices in Reading, Berkshire, is seeking a Claims Handler to process claims and deal with complaints relating to Insurance policies.

Your new role

Reporting to the Head of Insurance, you will act as the first point of contact for all communication with all internal and external parties providing support and guidance on all Insurance related matters, independently and within minimum direction.

What you'll need to succeed

The successful candidate will be expected to deal with ad hoc complaints from internal and external parties, promptly and effectively, with a view to achieving a positive resolution to disputes, while ensuring the reputation of the association is protected. The job holder will be expected to draft communications, (including Witness Statements) using own judgement to determine appropriate content and tone. These may be of a sensitive nature and should be dealt with accordingly.

In addition, the job holder will need to take action and manage all day to day claims handling, in accordance with strict deadlines, ensuring internal Customer Service Level Standards are met, and identify inaccuracies in the detail and reconcile any discrepancies in documentation, with internal parties.
