An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Major Projects Directorate for a Value Management Business Partner. You will be responsible for supporting the delivery of an ongoing value and continuous improvement programme across the TfL Capital Delivery portfolio including specific programmes of work in Project Management Units (PMU's) and wider. Your scope of responsibility includes discreet projects and programmes targeting specific value and improvement initiatives throughout the delivery lifecycle, gathering knowledge and experience from within TfL and across wider government and the private sector, driving an agenda of continuous improvement and innovation to optimise delivery processes and outcomes. Key Accountabilities• Responsible for the effective implementation of value, knowledge, benefits and benchmarking in assigned PMUs by developing business area specific strategies and plans with the PMU/delivery leadership. • Implements and improves processes, systems, tools, templates and techniques to optimise the delivery of project/programme outcomes, ensuring ongoing alignment with Pathway. • Organises and leads workshops for assigned PMUs, leveraging capability and experience from across TfL facilitating high profile value/lessons learned/root cause analysis. • Evaluates and communicates improvement goals, activities and achievements to raise awareness of value and continuous improvement across the business areas. • Programme manage PMU value initiatives and commitments through key stages of delivery lifecycle including Pathway stage gate meetings anticipating barriers to effective collaboration and mitigate and/or resolve recording decisions/actions and conducts tactical interventions when appropriate. • Co-leads knowledge sharing events to share ideas, plans, initiatives and successes across the business. • Communicates and implements knowledge sharing and Continuous Improvement (CI) strategy to bring about systematic identification, analysis and sharing of Lessons Learned (LL) and Best Practices (BP) across assigned business units. • Supports the development, training and engagement of champions/facilitators across the organisation. • Manages knowledge sharing capabilities analysing critical findings from reviews/audits to identify and disseminate systemic issues. • Contribute to a positive safety culture within projects and ensuring their team is invested in managing and improving HSE performance. • Support a working environment valuing equality of opportunity, social inclusion, fair employment and environmental sustainability, creating open, inclusive and engaging environment within MPD and across stakeholders, customers and supply chain. Experience• Experience of creating, adapting and monitoring process around Value and Continuous Improvement in projects/programmes and experience of implementing tools to support change. • Experience of dealing with a range of stakeholders at all levels across the organisation influencing improving process and guidance to support project outcomes and reporting. • Experience with project evaluations, reviews and business cases. • Experience of implementing improvements to project delivery driving efficiency and value.
