Product Manager Memory - ContractorPosition SummaryPurpose of role: Category management for the Memory portfolio ensuring meeting the Management plan and P&L. Determining the Objectives, goals, strategies & measures for the category. Responsibility for AP2, commercial management, proposition development, sell-in activity, ranging management, go-to-market launch readiness, commercial sales support and in-life/end-of-life product life cycle management. Make decisions that impact directly on business goals whilst utilising analysis and interpretation skills to drive commercial value from data. From launch, through optimisation by model and by account, on to end of life and transition to new models, your analysis and decisions will ultimately increase our market share. Achievements in the role, are recognised against clear KPIs, and will be visible within Samsung at the highest levels, opening up opportunities to drive the business.Role and ResponsibilitiesMain responsibilities:-Commercial ManagementManagement Plan responsibility P&L (Profit & Loss) Category managementQuarterly Kick Off Presentation to SEUK IMAP2 Forecasting accountabilityOGSM (Objective/Goals/Strategy/Measures) planning to drive commercial strategyGuide, inform and motivate the sales teamManage the device roadmap on a day-to-day basis for named accounts and channelsAnalyse and understand the market, business and customer requirements to deliver the right product together with propositionWork with cross functional account teams to ensure customer/channel specific requirements, insights and opportunities are addressedProduct/Portfolio ManagementAct as a real thought leader based on strategic insight and with an eye for detailMonitor performance and optimise PSI (Purchase/Sales/Loss) planning to secure availability and manage inventory riskProactively lifecycle manage the IM product portfolioAnalyse the market, competitors, consumers and sales performanceIn charge of product sell-in and ranging across named accounts and channelsShaping the success and the future of the products in the responsible accountsSupport on press events and interviews being the ambassador for product launchesClose co-operation with internal divisions such as, UK Account teams, Marketing, Supply Chain, Technical Product Engineering team, ETO and EHQSupport Head of Product Management as a Product Expert making strategic recommendations and addressing any challenges and opportunities put forward.Promotion ManagementDevelop strong product propositions combining hardware and non-hardwareStrong understanding of the competitor landscape and act according to competitor movementsIdentify any tactical business development opportunities to drive short - medium term volume objectivesManage Value-Add promotion including costing, forecasting and communicating externally/internallyAd HocDeputise for Head of Product Management if/when required.Key Relationships InternalUK Account teams, Technical Product Engineering, Marketing Execution, HQ teams, ETO/EHQ, Supply Chain and Marketing.ExternalResearch agenciesCustomersPromotional AgenciesPressTo be successful in this role you ideally have:Essential Hard Skills RequiredCommercial Product Management ExperienceProposition development & execution experienceProduct Lifecycle management experience with technical aptitudeGood skills in Microsoft office packagesStrong verbal, written and presentation skillsStrong numeracy/commercial acumenSkills and QualificationsEssential Soft Skills RequiredCreative thinkingSelf-motivated and self-starterOutstanding communications skills with ability to present to Key stakeholdersExcellent attention to detailFlexible & adaptable with ability to work in cross functional teamsAbility to work at a face pace, with accuracy in a changing environmentTenacious, passionate, creative & drivenTeam player Ability to work on multiple projectsAbility to make decisions with full understanding of knock on impacts and wider business trade offs* Please visit Samsung membership to see Privacy Policy, which defaults according to your location.
