Platform Securities have been servicing the financial services industry for over 15 years. They are highly regulated and have one of the highest levels of authorisation from the UK Financial Conduct Authority.What you will be doing:The Head of IT Service Delivery role is to provide vision and leadership for developing the medium- and long-term technical strategy for Platform Securities, ensuring that is aligned with the business strategy and catered for correctly within the larger IT framework.Working with directors and senior managers from across the business and senior contacts from within the key Clients and their auditors, the successful candidate will show gravitas as appropriate to a key role in driving and shaping the direction, ensuring that IT Infrastructure and Service strategy is grounded, with business direction.The role will be responsible for ensuring that the business requirements of Platform Securities are at the forefront of everything Platform Securities IT does.This leadership role will also be responsible for working towards definition of systems, initiatives and continual improvement, that help shape the future direction of the IT Infrastructure and Service Delivery function across Platform Securities.The holder of this role will need to rapidly achieve a thorough understanding of and Platform Securities IT and Business RequirementsKey Duties and Responsibilities:Provide the Platform Securities technology point of contact for senior business contacts and the Platform Securities executiveIdentification and negotiation of key programs required to deliver stable sustainable IT delivery for Platform Securities/Liaison with Clients to gather relevant requirements provide focus and increase client faith in Platform Securities IT, also where appropriate to publicise the key achievements and Business Improvements of IT to the client communityInfluencing and winning commitment of key decision makers to drive changeAct as Technical Liaison for Client Account Management and Executive teamsNegotiate SLAs and KPIs for ITProvide escalation for pre-sales technical enquiries from the Business Development teamsWhat you bring:Extensive managerial experience, demonstrating leadership and visionProven leadership qualities - articulate the vision, promoting behaviours and culturesStrong Vendor Management including contract negotiation, tripartite agreements and complex relationshipsBroad based systems experienceITIL qualified (beyond Foundation level)Understands complex technical concepts and situations, and can express them in a clear and easily understood fashionUnderstanding of IT reality and the business requirementsIn depth understanding of systems, Projects and development lifecycleTrack record of both managing teams and operating within Matrix Management environmentsArchitecture / design of complex systems with security by designStrong presentation skillsAbility to motivate teams and sustain high levels of performance.Knowledge/Experience in the Financial Services / Broking industry and working within a heavily regulated environmentUnderstanding of formalised IT Risk and Compliance managementAble to identify and assess stakeholder needs, and to craft compelling solutionsSelf-directed, yet strong team playerExcellent time management, decision-making, problem solving, presentation, documentation, planning and organisation skillsChange leader and driverWhat we offer you:• A multifaceted job with a high degree of responsibility and a broad spectrum of opportunities• A broad range of professional education and personal development possibilities - FIS is your final career step!• A competitive salary and benefits•The chance to work on some of the most challenging, relevant issues in financial services & technology•A work environment built on collaboration, flexibility and respect
