Four Seasons Health Care are looking for a Care Auditor to join the internal Assurance team.

The role of Care/clinical auditor requires a good knowledge of standards used by different care sector regulators and an up to date understanding of clinical best practice. An audit mentality is essential and the skill to write professional reports a must

The successful candidate will deliver an audit service to all homes, assisting in the achievement of excellent care service delivery and compliance with regulatory and internal policy requirements.

The post holder will be expected to travel across Northern England and Scotland as the role requires substantial travel throughout the Group, with the necessity for regular overnight stays. Therefore a Full UK driving licence is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and undertake care/clinical audits within care homes in line with approved audit plan.
  • Perform focused audits in relation to areas of clinical/care risk or compliance with clinical/care policies.
  • Undertake detailed reviews of progress made against regulatory or internal action plans.
  • Draw upon professional experience to provide judgement on the current performance and sustainability of a home.
  • Provide detailed findings and recommendations in relation to a home's performance.
  • Draw upon experience and background to provide support and guidance to colleagues working within homes.
  • Perform detailed audits of resident care files, including review of judgements made with regards to individuals care needs.
  • Support the Audit Manager in providing feedback to senior stakeholders within the business.
  • Ensure that audits are properly planned and delivered on time.
  • Prepare professional and well-presented reports summarising audit findings.
  • Support the Head of Assurance and Audit Manager in meeting demands of the business.


Skills / knowledge / experience


  • Previous experience as a clinical or care practitioner.
  • Previous experience in an audit or quality review role.
  • Experience of working in a care home or care environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.


The starting salary is £37,000 per annum. Other benefits include a company car and 30 days holiday plus bank holidays.
