Reporting Line: Finance Manager

Basic salary inlcudes company Bonus

Job type: Permanent, Full Time

Hours: 39.5 hours per week, 8.00am - 5.00pm, Monday to Thursdays and Fridays from 8am to 4:30pm

Location: Epsom, Surrey

Responsibilities

SAP system
  • Develop expertise of SAP system to be considered superuser
  • Input new starters, leavers, changes, sickness, holiday, bonuses, expenses etc
  • Run reports from SAP to provide management information, including data for Germany
  • Ensure testing carried out of SAP in line with corporate requirements and advise from Epiuse
  • Ensure SAP remains up-to-date in terms of requesting organisational changes from Germany etc
  • Ensure an accurate and up-to-date user guide is available for all SAP processes

Payroll process
  • Responsible for running payroll from start to finish
  • Adhere to company confidentiality policies and procedures
  • Produce and distribute payslips
  • Ensure knowledge regarding payroll legislation remains up to date
  • Ensure all HMRC and other legislative requirements are met in an accurate and timely manner
  • Ensure filing is up to date and in numerical or equivalent order in addition must be kept in a secure location
  • Ensure all year-end process are completed accurately and in a timely manner eg production of P60s, P11ds, P14 and P35
  • Ensure all corporate/internal audit requirements are met
  • Calculate and manage all statutory payments eg maternity, paternity etc
  • Ensure an accurate and up-to-date user guide is available for all payroll processe

Benefits
  • Co-ordinate all areas of benefit administration and queries to include pension scheme and BUPA
  • Assist with payment of bonuses and salary increases etc
  • Record all taxable benefit information regarding cars etc and calculate deductions eg NIC1a
  • Ensure all supplier invoices are coded and paid on time

HR administration and processes
  • Control and administer starters/leavers/changes process
  • Produce standard template letters for statutory payments eg maternity, paternity etc
  • Understand all HR policies, procedures and documentation and how these are to be administered via payroll
  • Adopt a continuous improvement approach looking to provide efficiencies to processes and procedures

Knowledge:
  • Degree level education
  • Professional payroll qualification e.g. IPPM
  • IT competent in Microsoft Office packages (Excel) to advanced level
  • In-depth and up-to-date working knowledge of SAP
  • Up to date information regarding all legislation relating to payroll and benefits

Skills:
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • A high degree of personal and professional credibility and the ability to influence and deal effectively with management at all levels
  • Able to work independently with little supervision and also as part of a team who will be supportive of team members

Experience:
  • Can undertake entire payroll process from start to finish autonomously
  • Previous experience of managing a car fleet
  • Previous experience of carrying out all year end processes
