The Pharmacy Department are continually moving our services forward. We are actively using skill mix and role development to enhance job content and quality at all levels of the department.

Our team of technical and non-technical staff has a high profile within the Trust and a vacancy has arisen for the position of Pharmacy Technician at Scunthorpe General Hospital.

You should be committed, flexible and able to work in a busy and demanding working environment. The Pharmacy Technician will need to be enthusiastic with good communication skills and have a genuine interest in Pharmacy Development.

The successful candidate will perform a range of activities working in various sections of the department the majority being working as part of our clinical teams on the wards and supporting the various functions in the dispensary. Rotational weekend, bank holiday and late night working will be required.

It is essential that you have a BTEC National Certificate in Applied Sciences (Pharmaceutical) and NVQ level 3 in Pharmacy Services Skills or equivalent and are registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacy Technician.

The successful candidate will be required to work flexibly in supporting the Trust's directive of 7 day working, participating in rotas and / or shift working as necessary including weekend and bank holiday working.
