Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) is a new special health authority being established from 1 October 2018 to drive the transformation of the workforce in NHS Wales. We will have a wide range of functions including strategic workforce planning, workforce modernisation, education and training, careers and leadership development.

THIS POST IS FIXED TERM UNTIL 31/03/2020 TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THE SERVICE

A fixed term position for a QIST Faculty Tutor has become available in the QIST unit within Health Education & Improvement Wales.

GRADE: CONSULTANT

PAY RATE: £75,881 - £98,515 pro rata

HOURS: 1 SESSION PER WEEK

On October 1 2018 a new statutory body within NHS Wales came into being, working across the health and education sectors. Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) oversees the strategic development of the health workforce in Wales, including workforce planning, leadership development and education commissioning. It sits alongside existing Health Boards and Trusts to be the eleventh member of the NHS Wales family.

This is role is fixed term until 31/03/2020, and the successful candidate will support the next phase in the development of the QIST Programme.

The post holder will ensure that all clinicians have the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to improve the quality of care for patients, working safely and effectively as part of a team across all healthcare settings.
