Account Handler - Commercial Insurance


£23,000 - £30,000 + package

This independently owned insurance broking firm has a simple approach - treating people, whether client, supplier or staff the right way. This is supported by the longevity of the team and their reputation in the local market.

This role works within the commercial team and offers an experienced Account Handler an established client book to manage and renew, in a grown up environment without KPI's and the pressure of targets.

The company
  • A respected independently owned, chartered broking firm with a strong track record gained over many years.
  • The client list is diverse and includes a number of specialism including property owners, waste and recycling, specialist goods in transit and manufacturing, as well as strong knowledge of the general commercial covers.

The Role
  • This varied role will see you dealing with the existing client account, working on an allocated caseload to whom you will be the first point of contact for all queries and questions as well as advice on matters relating to their insurance programme.
  • The role is a mix of broking, administrative and client service duties at all stages of the client cycle where you'll be tasked with dealing with MTA'a and securing renewals, you may also support the sales team in the preparation of submission and presentations where required.
  • The team is service driven and you'll be comfortable providing an efficient, accurate service on all matters.

  • You'll be an experienced commercial account handler, comfortable dealing with cross class commercial clients to effectively and efficiently service their accounts.
  • You'll have a good knowledge of commercial insurance and strong communication skills plus an ability to adapt your approach the range of clients this role will see you dealing with.
  • CII qualifications or a willingness to undertake (with support) is preferred, but not essential.
