Senior Systems Analyst (Applications)

As part of our Applications & Delivery team this will be your opportunity to help shape, develop and support a complex portfolio of estates management systems and broader enterprise applications for this large institution. The role
Our vision is for IT to be a valued business partner, providing innovative services to our students and staff. As a Senior Systems Analyst you will works across our broad applications landscape including Finance, HR, Estates and Student Systems Applications.Working across the full application life cycle, you will focus on supporting, developing solutions that will improve functionality, performance and integration between our enterprise applications that will be key in enabling Kingston University to our services to our student and staff community

The Person
You will bring to the role extensive, relevant experience around enterprise applications (ideally student applications), including:
  • A strong background of working within an enterprise applications environment with experience across full application lifecycle with core skills in supporting and configuring web-based applications
  • Strong experience of supporting enterprise applications in a Windows based environment (Windows 2012 R2)
  • Good working knowledge of SQL Server Management Studio and experience of writing T-SQL
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and ideally ITIL Foundation Certified
  • Experience of working in both traditional and agile environments


Communication
  • You will be a self-motivated and dynamic individual who is able to challenge and influence others, develop and maintain collaborative working relations across IT and non IT departments;
  • High level, proven inter-personal and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to lead and motivate internal teams and vendors alike.
