Robert Half are recruiting for a global commercial real estate services and investment firm based in central London. They are looking to recruit a Management Accountant to join their growing team.

The responsibilities for the Management Accountant position for a global commercial real estate services and investment firm based in central London include:

The Management Accountant role that is based in London is a newly created position that has come around through continued organic growth of the company. The company is a growing energy services company.

The Management Accountant will be a key member of the Finance team with a primary focus on the company's management accounting, budgeting and forecasting. The role will work closely with the group financial controller and will provide the right candidate an opportunity to add value to the Finance Team and develop professionally.

Responsibilities:

Preparation of the business management accounts, investigation of variances on the P&L, providing analysis to the Finance Director and FP&A as required.

Preparation of the year end management accounts schedules as requested on the prepared by client list for the audit

Preparation of management information in the month, including daily Turnover Reporting during billing week and Monthly Business Unit league tables.

Consolidation of the Local FM P&L for the Finance Director, ahead of the Business Group Performance monthly review meeting.

Performing of month end close activities for the P&L, working with Finance and Contract Support Managers and the Overhead Accountant to ensure accuracy and completeness of results, including resolution of dimensional posting errors.

Supporting the Overhead accountant with down streaming recharges and Head Office overheads as required.

Assist the Statutory Accountant (where needed) in production of Statutory Accounts

Working with the Overhead Accountant, taking responsibility for the overhead department Plans

Working with the Financial Controller, Management Accounting Manager, Divisional Finance Directors, and Business Unit Finance & Contract Support Managers; ensure adequate Financial procedures are in place across the P&L

Supporting the SOX accountant with maintenance and documentation of the SOX controls around P&L items.

Working with Dynamics Support team to ensure key reports on Dynamics AX (ERP) and Microsoft Reporting Services are appropriately maintained. Assist the Management Accounting Manager in responsibility for Dynamics AX e.g. reporting structure and training programmes.

Maintenance of relevant procedures within the Finance Procedures Manual

Analysis and proactive use of the business information to add value to the business

Review of monthly Business Unit and Divisional Profit and Loss submissions to ensure integrity of management accounts is being maintained

Driving forward efficiency and improvements to processes and the quality of information, with an active input into improving business unit reporting

Highlight to the Management Accountant Manager where there is a belief that any anomalies arise between Business Units and the compliance with the Company policies and procedures.

Discuss business issues with Management Accounting Manager on a regular basis.

Staff and training

Training (including inductions) of Central Finance staff to ensure they can perform their finance roles.

Assist with the training of Business Unit Finance Managers with a view to disseminating best practice throughout the Business

Profile:

To be a successful applicant for the Management Accountant position for a global commercial real estate services and investment firm based in central London you must meet the following criteria:

Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)

Proficient in the use of Finance Systems, word-processing, spreadsheet and presentation software packages, to lead process and reporting developments to achieve key tasks.

Experience of a similar role in a large international business.

Well-developed communication skills enabling the individual to work with Board Members, clients, suppliers, and staff of all levels and abilities.

Management skills to maximise the performance of staff.

Experience of making good, effective, short and long-term commercial decisions.

Salary and benefits:

£50,000 - £55,000

Plus a discretionary performance and company bonus.
