About you:

The post holder will be required to collect blood samples from patients in their own homes and other residential settings when they are too unwell to attend the GP surgery. The post holder will be required to perform a range of venepuncture techniques in a variety of clinical settings and will work without direct supervision.

The post holder will work alongside the District Nurses and Community Matrons and will be required to liaise with clinicians, other healthcare professionals including laboratory staff, with patients and their representatives and with commercial suppliers.

What will you need?

Preferably the post holder is an experienced Phlebotomist who has experience in the provision of a quality blood collection service, however, full training and supervision will be provided for the right applicant.

It's important that you have a calm approach, the ability to prioritise and work in a busy team.

A driving license and access to a car is essential, due to the travel involved.
