Electrical/Electronic Engineering Lecturer

Permanent, 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

These positions are based in colleges and companies which pride themselves on their high quality delivery of vocational education, committing themselves to ensuring a great learning experience for the students. As such, the succesful applicants will have a strong background in industry and hold a recognised level 3 Engineering qualification.

We are looking for lecturers in BTEC Electrical Engineering. The role will involve delivering electrical practices, both in practical workshop conditions and through classroom-based theory learning on the BTEC course from Level 1 to 3.

The successful candidate can either be from an Electrical/Electronic Engineering teaching background or from industry with a passion to transfer existing skills into teaching. Support will be given to those looking to achieve a teaching qualification, with guidance from experienced lecturers and an induction programme.

Role responsibilities:

* Responsible for high quality delivery in the Engineering department.

* Teaching theory and practical sessions of Electrical/Electronic Engineering to students from level 1 to 3 on the BTEC programme.

* Motivate learners to reach their full potential.

Essential Criteria:

* Hold a minimum level 3 qualification in a related subject area.

* Have a strong level of knowledge of industrial practices.

* Passion for educating the next generation of Engineers.

* A DBS check on the update service, or to be willing to apply for one.

Prefered Criteria:

* Teaching qualification.

* Previous teaching experience of Engineering qualifications.

* Assessor and verifier qualifications.
