For over 40 years we have been an innovative partner for clients in the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industry, providing specialist deep draw pressing and rack anodising services to a global client base. We have a dedicated facility in Nelson where we are continuously pushing for improvements and innovation in order to make aid the successful delivery of our products in a streamlined and efficient manner.

Due to the introduction of new technologies and ambitious improvement targets, we have an opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to join us on a contract basis, initially for a period of 6 - 9 months. This position will be instrumental to the continued drive for innovation and long-term efficient production at our Nelson site and can offer fantastic personal development.

Experience working in a mechanical setting is key, and the ideal candidate will be available either immediately or on a short notice.

Experience & Qualifications

• Experience working as a Manufacturing Engineer with a mechanical background.

• An understanding of pressing and anodising techniques and technology (hydraulics and/or pneumatics)

• An ability to drive improvement, troubleshoot and problem solve.

• Able to support a team and work collaboratively to resolve issues.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Increase efficiency and reliability of a set of similar machines.

• Collaborate with the maintenance and operations teams.

• Develop an understanding of current issues with processes, whilst suggesting ongoing improvement plans to increase productivity.

• Involvement in working on a URS to enable us to increase automation.

• Carrying out route cause analysis to prevent failure of machines.
