In October 2007 Lincolnshire Partnership became the first NHS mental health organisation to become a foundation trust in the East Midlands. We operate from 56 sites providing services in Lincolnshire & North East Lincolnshire, employing around 2000 staff.

Our work is increasingly community based and we provide people with a wide variety of mental health, learning disability and social care services in close partnership with colleagues in local councils, GPs, charitable and voluntary organisations, as well as regularly working with services users, carers and their representatives.

This is an exciting opportunity within the Skegness IAPT steps2change team for a qualified Counsellor.

The post holder will provide assessments and counselling for service users who suffer a range of common mental health problems, working mainly with depression, loss and adjustment using a range of clinically effective treatment protocols. The Service provides evidence based interventions within a stepped care model, for the treatment of people with mild to moderate common mental health problems. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a major national initiative, which has fundamentally changed the way in which psychological treatments are provided.

The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be able to work within a team environment, be thoroughly conversant with the use of clinical systems and have a positive and confident approach to our service users, carers, professional colleagues.

We offer 24 hour services within our Inpatient, Crisis and SPA teams, if you are successfully appointed to posts in these areas or others that might have specified, you will be required to work unsociable hours and shift patterns.
