An exciting vacancy has arisen for a qualified Clinical Psychologist within the Adult Mental Health service. We are looking for someone with the clinical skills to enable them to work with severe, enduring and complex mental health problems, providing assessments, formulations and therapeutic interventions to people referred to our service. As such, there will be ample opportunities to develop consultation and supervisory skills. The post holder will have a strong interest and commitment to working with complex psychological presentations, in particular trauma and personality disorders. Experience of research, audit and teaching and training staff groups in psychological working would also be beneficial.

The post-holder will join a small group of Clinical Psychologists and Cognitive Behavioural Therapists. The team prides itself in being highly supportive. There is provision for individual and peer supervision, as well as offering training placements for all three North West Doctorate training courses in Clinical Psychology. The post holder will also have opportunities for Continuing Professional Development and be encouraged to contribute to the professional development of other staff members.

This post is subject to an enhanced check with adults barred listDisclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check. Successful candidates will either have a valid DBS check with the Trust or will be required to pay for the cost of the DBS Disclosure which is £47.50 for an enhanced disclosure, the cost of which will be deducted from first salary.
