ECLINICAL TEACHING FELLOW IN MUSCULOSKELETAL, DISORDERS AND DISABILITY

2.5 days teaching and 2.5 days clinical within Trauma & Orthopaedics.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Teaching Fellow Post in Musculoskeletal, Disorders and Disabilities (MDD).

This post would be ideal for a doctor with a minimum of four years clinical practice, post medical school, and with a minimum of one year experience in Orthopaedics at CT Level.

The principal role of the post holder will be to deliver teaching on the MDD course to final year medical students. The post holder will also contribute to both the delivery of the teaching and develop new initiatives in medical student teaching. The feedback from medical students on this course is of a very high standard, so we are looking both to maintain and enhance the reputation of both the course and the Department.

In addition the postholder will be able to work for 2.5 days per week clinically, that is appropriate to your level of training. This includes activity such as Fracture Clinic, Out-patient Clinic, and assisting with Trauma Operating Lists and Ward Work.

There is also the opportunity to gain a higher degree by working towards the Masters in Medical Education, which the Trust will provide support with. We also actively encourage our Teaching Fellows to be innovative in their teaching practice and there is also ample opportunity within the Department to present locally, regionally and nationally at medical education conferences.
