  • Are you an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Specialist Physiotherapist?
  • Would you like a new and exciting challenge within a Community Therapy Team?

If so, then this could be the job for you!

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic patient focused rehabilitation service within the Selby area (based at Selby War Memorial Hospital).

You will be responsible for providing specialist Physiotherapy treatment and management of patients, providing rehabilitation to patients in their own homes as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

You will benefit from working within a friendly, experienced, pro-active team with regular in service training, clinical supervision and opportunities for personal and professional development. There is a robust support network for all staff including clinical supervision and peer review and you will be directly involved in the supervision of junior staff and students.

We are looking for a dynamic, forward thinking practitioner with the desire to develop and improve services. You must have relevant clinical experience, excellent communication and organisational skills and be a strong team player.

If you are both motivated and flexible, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, then we would like to hear from you.

It's not just the area that's a great draw, as well: as a member of our team, you'll have access to one of the most generous and comprehensive pension schemes in the UK, a minimum of 27 days annual leave (on top of Bank Holidays) and an award-winning package of staff benefits (see link on the right).

We would strongly encourage anyone interested in this exciting opportunity to contact us to arrange an informal visit to the Hospital.

Good Luck with your application!

Armed Forces Friendly Employer

We are holders of the Silver Award from the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme, which is helping actively promote SaBRE - Supporting Britain's Reservists and Employers. This means that York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust has provided its statement of intent to support all Defence personnel and we welcome their application to work for us.

Disclosure and Barring Service Check

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.

Tier 2 Certificate of Sponsorship

Applications from job seekers who require Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. However, non-EEA candidates may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU/EEA candidate is available to take up the post as the employing body is unlikely, in these circumstances, to satisfy the Resident Labour Market Test. The UK Visas and Immigration department requires employers to complete this test to show that no suitably qualified EEA or EU worker can fill the post. For further information please visit the UK Visas and Immigration website.

From 6 April 2017, Tier 2 skilled worker applicants, applying for entry clearance into the UK, must present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Adult dependants (over 18 years old) will also be subject to this requirement.
