We are one of the largest specialist mental health and learning disabilities trusts in the country, with an annual income of £320m and a workforce of some 6,700 staff operating from around 100 sites in Durham, Teesside, North Yorkshire and York and Selby. We provide a range inpatient and community services to 2m people living in County Durham, the Tees Valley, Scarborough, Whitby, Ryedale, Harrogate, Hambleton and Richmondshire. We also provide additional specialist services to other parts of Northern England.

We deliver our services by working in partnership with eight local authorities and clinical commissioning groups, a wide range of voluntary organisations, as well as service users, their carers and the public. The services are spread over a wide geographical area of around 3,600 square miles, which includes coastal, rural and industrial areas.

Exciting opportunities have arisen to join Harrogate Cedar acute admission ward

The successful candidate will work within the inpatient team during the transition period of transformation of services, following transformation the successful candidate will secure a substantive post as part of the transformation.

The successful candidate will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering high quality person centered care to individual service users and their carers. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills and who are able to work both individually and as part of a team.

You will be required to be innovative, flexible and able to engage service users and their carers. Strong team working principles and interpersonal skills are essential; you will network with a variety of people as well as work in partnership with a range of disciplines and providers both internal and external to the service.

If successful you will support the Ward Manager in the running of the ward, supervising team members, monitoring and reporting on team performance, as well as maintaining a direct care role within the team. Working hours would include a mixture of shifts days/nights alongside some management days to assist the ward manager in leading the team.
