We are looking for a Management Accountant to join our team on a fixed term contract for 12 months maternity cover based in Bristol!

The purpose of the role is for someone to prepare the company management accounts and balance Sheet reconciliation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure warranty processes & controls are in place in order for claims to be submitted correctly. Prove the warranty debtor is recoverable. Confirming the charges & overpayments to the accounts are correct each month. Liaising with the Aftermarket Support Manager to resolve queries & provide information to assist in the recovery of rejection and short payments.
  • Authorising purchase ledger invoices for central related overheads & challenging price increases to assist with control of overheads to ensure all invoices are passed and queries are resolved within the month to ensure prompt payment.
  • Preparation and review of Cash flow and funding commitments.
  • Reconcile Managing Directors Personal Expenditure and Expenses
  • Provide up to date information on DTS debt, highlighting problematic & overdue debts & escalate accordingly.
  • Prepare monthly commission & bonuses in line with individual commission/bonus schemes
  • Prepare and review weekly engineer's payroll for Submission.
  • Checking and matching off machine part exchange invoices after confirming we have title to the machine.
  • Preparation & review of all tax matters. Assist with preparation & submission of corporation tax return.
  • Managing company fuel cards & updating vehicles on insurance database.
  • Managing the service contract account, ensuring revenue invoices are raised on a regular basis & payments received.

Accountant | CIMA | ACCA | Finance | Management Accountant

Essential Skills

  • CIMA/ACCA Qualified/Part qualified
  • Minimum 2 years' experience
  • Performance management - ability to coach individuals and provide constructive feedback to develop a highly performing team.
  • Organisational skills - ability to manage own workload effectively to ensure key responsibilities are met.
  • Interpersonal skills - ability to express ideas in a clear and persuasive manner and adapt communication to suit the audience. Willingness to listen and respect others' ideas and have a good understanding of other's needs.
  • Technical knowledge - understanding of current accounting standards.
  • Commercial Awareness - ability of manage risk relating to credit offered to customer and manage the pressures from suppliers on increasing their prices.
