Full Time or Job Share - 10 programmed activities

Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (BHNFT) is seeking to appoint an additional Respiratory Consultant to join our Respiratory team. Applicants should have a broad experience in Respiratory Medicine.

BHNFT's ethos is to encourage team working and innovation and it is an exciting time to be working for our progressing Trust. The CCG have recently commissioned as part of the health economy transformation programme the BREATHE service (integrated care and early supported discharge for COPD). There will also be the opportunity to contribute to development of clinical services and achieving gold standards for Respiratory patients.

The new post holder will be expected to share the existing clinical workload and will be encouraged to develop specialist interest and support current services in-reach respiratory team, working with the multi disciplinary team as part of the expansion of community based services including COPD early supported discharge and community clinics, contributing to the development of the specialist respiratory team working across both secondary and primary area, develop pleural diseases services, sleep and domiciliary NIV..etc. We have established Endobronchial Ultrasound - EBUS/Miniprobe, EUS, Portable Chest Ultrasound, Semirigid Thoracoscopy and we have full physiological lung investigation lab include Full lung function tests, cardiopulmonary exercise tests (CPEX), Manitol Inhalation Bronchial challenge test, FeNO and overnight pulse oximetry etc.

The Trust has an active education training programme which you will be encouraged and expected to be involved in as well as MDT meetings, case reviews, network forums, research and development, teaching nurses as well as medical students for example. Standard Check: £26.00 + Administration cost of £3.69 = deduction from salary as a one off payment

Enhanced Check: £44.00 + administration cost of £3.69 = £14.69 deduction from 1st months salary, £11.00 deduction from salary over following 3 months.
