£40k - £60k Basic Salary Depending on Experience + Commission and Negotiable Car Allowance


Interaction Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager for an automation software business based in London. They are looking for a successful machining/automation software background and experience in both new business sales and account management. You will be based remotely for the majority of your time and so can be based across the UK but will need to commute to the London office from time to time.

However, our client is also considering salespeople from a wider Software or SaaS background with a demonstrable track record of success, but you will need to be able to work from the London based office to develop a better understanding of the automation software and become familiar with the space. You will also need to have skills in both account management and new business developed from previous roles.

This position is focused on new business sales, so you will be targeted on your ability to find leads and close deals with new accounts. However, you will also retain these accounts after closing the deal with them, so you will need to be successful in maintaining a strong relationship with senior points of contact across different vertical markets.

Our client offers plenty of support for this position, with onboarding, training and mentoring from the senior management team. You will also be supported by a Sales Development Representative who will help generate leads for you to target and thus help your new business sales. Requirements for this role:
  • Either previous experience in an automation software sales position and based in the UK
  • Or a good track record of SaaS software sales and able to commute to London
  • Experience with both new business and account management sales
