Trust Doctors (F2/St1 level) in Care of the Elderly

Wednesday 6 August 2019 for up to 3 years until Tuesday 2 August 2022 during this period working Monday-Friday 9am - 5pm

Trust Doctors at F2/St1 level are required to work within the Medical Division at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital and Cheltenham General Hospital in the Care of the Elderly Department.

These posts offer excellent experience in Acute Medicine, General Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, Stroke Medicine and Orthogeriatrics. We have a very good track record for getting candidates through the MRCP exam and you are welcome to join the weekly PACES teaching sessions.

The Care of the Elderly Department is committed to teaching and training and also provides a twice weekly protected junior doctor education programme.

These posts are due to commence as soon as possible. We are happy to consider any candidates who want to work for a period at LTFT. There is also the potential to extend these posts beyond 12 months. These posts are very suitable for junior doctors who are considering taking a career break (e.g. to go travelling) before joining a formal training programme OR return from travelling to join training in Aug19.
