My client specialise within the manufacturing sector and due to recent growth we are now seeking a Credit Controller / Accounts Assistant on a part time basis to manage the credit control function, process all inward payments and manage/process credit notes.

This is a part time permanent position, 5 hours per day. (Monday to Friday - Flexible working hours)

Duties

·Credit Control - ensuring all customers pay within credit terms and work towards the DSO target set.

·Negotiating re-payment plans/ disputes with customers with diplomacy.

·To build and maintain close links to customers, helping to ensure the smooth running and collection of all outstanding debts.

·Set up new customer accounts on Sage, with the use of a Credit reference agency. Also follow up references.

·Setting and changing credit limits.

·Posting and allocating daily receipts to accounting system.

·Putting customers on stop, after approval from sales manager when necessary, and releasing when paid.

·Send weekly stop lists to Sales and Logistic Teams.

·Sending monthly update spreadsheets to customers where debit notes etc have been taken.

·Management of the Credit Note System and updating CRM system accordingly.

·Raise all credit notes.

·Management of cases/customer queries recorded on CRM Dynamics system including chasing relevant department to resolution.

·Producing ad-hoc account reports from SAGE as and when requested.

·Deal with Customer query handling, including and sending copy invoices as requested.

·Processing American Express payments/Credit card Payments.

·Producing monthly recharge invoices for, German and US Offices at month end.

·Assisting Accounts department with month end procedure when required.

·Ability to reconcile complex accounts and have excellent attention to detail.

·Completion of bank forms when necessary.

·Any other duties as necessary.

Experience / Requirements

·Minimum 2 years Credit Control or Accounts Department experience necessary.

·Attention to detail and accuracy together with completion and follow-up essential for role.

·Basic e-mail / excel and word necessary with GCSE equivalent maths & English.

·Knowledge of Sage an advantage
