Vanta Staffing are recruiting for a Group Finance Manager for our client based in Northwood, Middlesex. Our client is a successful award-winning design company.

Our clients business focuses on 7 key revenue streams:

1. Complete Interior Design service to discerning private clients and developers
2. Comprehensive Showhome design and installation
3. Complete Architects service as a RIBA Chartered Architects practice
4. An Interior Architecture design consultancy offering advice & detailed product specifications to high-end residential (private / show home) and developer clients
5. A dedicated Furniture, Lighting and Interior Design showroom
6. A dedicated Tiling Studio offering a vast selection of unique tiles
7. A full Design and Build Service

The successful candidate will come with a proven strong background in a Group Finance role in a busy accounting function, undertaking a broad range of responsibilities. The position will require you to be efficient and responsive in providing financial control of all companies within the company.

We are looking for someone with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience who is an experienced / confident Group Finance Controller who has used Sage Line 50 Accounts 2018 onwards. You should be a qualified / part-qualified accountant or have strong QBE double entry book keeping experience and experience of management reporting. You must be able to operate confidently, proactively and independently within a busy accounting function. The successful candidate will work on own initiative, multi task and be confident to juggle a changing workload and be resilient to cope with conflicting demands, able to prioritise duties and to work effectively under pressure. You will be required to have a full licence and own your own car.

Group Finance Controller main duties will include but not be limited to:

· Using Sage 50 cloud for 7 Group companies (currently using Sage Line 50)
· Advanced on Excel - V-Look ups & pivot tables
· Oversee / posting all purchase ledger invoices
· Making UK and European payments
· Bank reconciliations
· Identifying customer balances to be chased
· Dealing with invoice queries - both supplier and customer
· Chasing purchase ledger credit notes
· Chasing missing invoices
· Credit control for overdue customer balances
· Quarterly VAT returns for 4 companies

Management & Finance Activities
· Management reporting activities on a weekly, fortnightly and monthly basis to produce information for the board
· Cash flow reporting
· Chasing debtors
· Supplier liaison and spend reporting
· Tracking & reporting on job profitability
· Dealing with auditors and preparing year end information
· Identifying areas to reduce costs across overheads activities
· Dealing with: insurance companies / utilities / banking queries
· All other usual activities required in a busy accounting function.
