Here's what you'll be doing:

At E.ON we are passionate about how we are transforming the energy landscape. Right now, we now have an exciting opportunity to join our Biomass Power Station in Sheffield as a Site Finance Coordinator. This 30MW renewable energy plant provides enough energy to power around 40,000 homes while displacing the emissions of around 80,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide every year by burning carbon neutral fuel.

Here you'll be responsible for coordinating the finance, procurement and administration functions at the site, including financial reporting, stock management, budget management, processing invoices and purchase orders. You'll be the first point of contact for all finance / order queries and will liaise with multiple stakeholders both internal and external. You'll also be tasked with obtaining supplier quotes for office goods and services, negotiating with suppliers and sourcing new suppliers.

With finance transactions totalling £3.5 million of controllable costs, this is a challenging role with the opportunity to make a real impact. If this appeals to you, apply today.

What we need from you:
  • Experience in procurement and invoicing system techniques primarily using SAP.
  • Financial analysis experience with a strong understanding of budget control and reporting requirements.
  • The ability to challenge and promote improvements to systems/processes to enhance business efficiency.
  • Be able to share knowledge/experience across other teams for cross functional working.
  • Good IT skills are essential - Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook.
  • Previous experience of working towards deadlines with the ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Be able to work independently, accurately and use your own initiative.
  • Be adept at office administration tasks for the site.

It would be great if you had:
  • Experience with the SAP accounting package.
  • Be able to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers and staff at all levels.
  • Able to work under pressure whilst maintaining a professional and calm approach.
  • An understanding of the Energy business sector and/ or engineering knowledge.
