Are you a graduate who has completed their Humanities related degree with a 2:2 or above and is looking to gain some classroom experience to support their teacher training application?

This Maldon secondary school are hoping to meet with a knowledgeable graduate who is looking to pursue a career within teaching in the future. You will be excited to embark on new challenges as you enter the world of teaching and gaining first-hand experience.

The Teaching Assistant role will give you a great insight to what teaching is really like on a full-time basis. As a Humanities Teaching Assistant, you will be spending your time in your specialist subject whilst supporting the class teachers.

As a Teaching Assistant your day-to-day timetable will consist of overseeing and shadowing the various teachers of your subject and allow you to take part in classroom activities. It will also allow you the chance to engage with mixed ability students on a 1:1 and small group basis to help their understanding of the subject.

To be considered for this Teaching Assistant role...
You must have a degree in your subject specialism of a 2:2 or above and have a great overall academic record, including A-Cs in Maths and English GCSEs. You must also have considered a career in teaching for a considerable amount of time.
