Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer

Location: Cambridge (some remote working would be considered, depending on experience)

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: Up to £75,000 p/a + excellent package

TEC Partners are proud to be working alongside one of the biggest names in online gaming on this exclusive role. Our client is home to one of the most successful game franchises of all time and they are seeking a highly experienced Senior DevOps Engineer for their Platform team.

Required skills and attributes of the Senior DevOps Engineer:
  • The Senior DevOps Engineer will be highly skilled in Linux system administration and server configuration (Debian and Ubuntu)
  • Deep technical knowledge of AWS is essential
  • Deep technical knowledge and commercial experience with containerization and container orchestration frameworks (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm)
  • Extensive experience and knowledge of CI/CD principles and tools
  • Experience of working across internal and remote engineering teams using agile methodologies
  • Strong knowledge of software and infrastructure security best practices
  • Experience with configuration management and infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet)

Main duties and responsibilities of the Senior DevOps Engineer:
  • The Senior DevOps Engineer will play a leading role in building, automating and supporting on-premise and cloud based development and production environments
  • Provide operation insights by deploying and maintaining logging, monitoring and alerting solutions
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on recommendations and architectural decisions to ensure the security, scalability and performance of the platform
  • Work with engineering teams to set up continuous integration and delivery pipelines
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues and work with engineering teams to detect and prevent future issues
  • Contribute technically to projects by being hands-on
  • Provide technical assistance to development teams when necessary
