Pricing and Promotions Analyst

Salary Circa £20,000 per annum dependent on experience plus excellent benefits and staff wine allowance.

This position is a 6-12 months fixed term contract.

About the role

We have an opportunity for a Pricing and Promotions Analyst to join our Commercial Finance Team at our Accolade Park site close to the M5 near Bristol. This role provides a proactive and challenging support to Account Managers and the Finance team. Managing, maintaining and evaluating promotional activity and managing the resolution of price and other promotional claims. Responsible for maintaining and ensuring the accuracy of customer price files and advance pricing functions.

About the role - Key Accountabilities

•Compliance to internal & external Audit processes to ensure complete and accurate Promotional Accruals•Review customer and channel levels of promotional spend and net revenue to identify errors, trends of performance and reasons for performance vs plan•Build rapport with Sales and knowledge of customer Promotional Plans•Verify, challenge and monitor promotional spend in order to maintain accurate promotional accruals and limit potential audit claims.•Organise and conduct regular reviews with Account Managers / Finance Analysts to ensure all company Promotional liabilities are recorded•Organise and conduct promotion accrual releases in accordance with company policy's and working with Account Managers & Finance Analysts.•Liaise on a regular basis with key stakeholders to ensure prompt query resolution•Ensure all paperwork is received to backup all promotional activity to ensure accuracy of liabilities.•Attend Sales / Finance customer meetings (P&L, forecasting & AR)Strong understanding and engagement with Company Values and Objectives•Provide cover for the team and gain an understanding of all sectors within the team.•Assist the business sales teams with Pre & Post evaluation of promotional activity i.e. volume uplift and profitability.•Act as a business contact for promotional invoices. Identify, validate and pay promotional invoices to customers and resolve queries.•Work with the finance management to develop Accolade promo and pricing systems and improve overall profitability
•Maintain customer adjustment schedules in accordance with company policy, ensuring that accurate pricing is invoiced to the customer and fewer claims received•Review, investigate and resolve price claims with account handlers & customers•Responsible for advanced pricing functions and implementing the advanced price functions across the business in areas where this will be an improvement on current process.•Input into promotional and pricing processes, ensuring the processes meet company requirements and provide feedback with ideas / suggestions for changes.
•Assist with completion of month-end accruals and pre-payments process & month-end reporting as part of Commercial Finance.•Reporting as required.
About you (You will have the following knowledge and skills):

•Analytical skills•Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel
•Prioritisation and Planning•Customer Obsession•Enthusiastic self-starter with good organisational skills•Numerate & Articulate•High level of Attention to detail
Graduate or equivalent preferable

You will have the flexibility to work out of office hours to accommodate the occasional call with our Australian colleagues and have the ability to travel to our Weybridge site if required.
